Instruction for Clindamycin Hydrochloride and Metronidazole Liniment

[Product Name] Clindamycin Hydrochloride and Metronidazole Liniment

[Ingredients] It is a compound formula. It contains 10mg clindamycin hydrochloride and 8mg metronidazole in each 1ml liniment. Excipients: glycerol,ethanol.

[Description] It is colorless or light yellow clear liquid. With ethanol odor.

[Indication] It is for acne vulgaris, also for seborrheic dermatitis, rosacea and folliculitis.

[Packing] 20ml/bottle, 1bottle/box. Medical plastic bottle packing.

[Usage and Dosage] Only for external application. Apply appropriate amount to affected area. 3 times each day, 2 weeks is a course of treatment. Use one more course of treatment if necessary.

[Adverse Reactions] It may cause skin dryness, local irritation, rash and other allergic reactions.

[Contraindication] Pregnant women and lactating women are prohibited to use it.

[Cautious]

1. Avoid to touch the liniment with eyes and mucosa of nose and mouth etc.

2. Stop using and clean away the liniment immediately if there is any burning feeling and swollen on administrated part. Consult doctors if it is possible.

3. People with other skin infections should use it under doctor’s advice.

4. It is not suitable for long term use in large area.

5. People with allergic skin should use it with caution.

6. Don’t use it if its properties are changed.  

7. Put the product where children can not touch.

8. Children need use under the supervision of adult.

9. Get advice from doctors before concomitantly using it with other medicines.

[Pharmacological Effects] This product is a compound preparation. Clindamycin is an antibiotic owning similar antibacterial spectrum with erythromycin, mainly has high antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria, and its mechanism of action is to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis. Metronidazole has anti-anaerobic effect. Combination usage of these two compositions can inhibit and kill Propionibacterium acnes, reduce the production of fatty acids in epidermis, which is effective to the treatment of acne.
